Colored/ Shaded Scene of Choice Cartoon 1

Image
This is the original street background page. This is my cartoon scene.  There is a little kid sliding off of his skateboard in the back, and on the front is a family with ice cream.  I wanted each family to have the same colors, so the would have some type of visual relationship.

Bird Coloring Page Assignment

Image
This is the bird after I added all of the feathers.  I wanted to create a rainbow bird.  Or at least a bird with bright, vibrant colors.  I had difficulty finding an image to use, and making the wings look like wings.  To me, the wings kind of look like a cluster of random feathers that are stuck on a rainbow-bird's back.  But, I am happy with my creation.  I would just be happier if I had fixed the wings. This is the original bird coloring page.

Kaleidoscope Assignment

Image
This is the original kaleidoscope coloring page.  I picked it because it reminded me of a beautiful flower.     This is my kaleidoscope coloring page after being colored.  I chose to pick bright colors, and place them randomly on the picture.  This assignment was fairly easy to complete.  One struggle that I faced was finding a .jpg to color.  Most of the designs that I liked were either too small or a .gif or a thumbnail.

Where's Waldo

Image
This is my Where's Waldo/ Anabel Assignment.  This assignment was fun.  Personally, I enjoy making art pieces like this. But this time, I had a little difficulty because I have never done a project like this.  As you can see, I put lots of Disney characters.  I also put a picture of a French bulldog and myself (Waldo/Anabel).  Can you find me?

Durer Assignment

Image
My animal is a French bulldog.  I chose this animal because I have one, he is my pet/brother King.  He acts just like his name.  I really enjoyed this assignment because I am obsessed with French bulldogs and because the instructions were easy to follow.  So I had literally no stress in the process of making this artwork.  I did miss a step and had to restart, but that was because I didn't read the instructions first. In my overall opinion, I think that this is  my favorite assignment so far.

Gorey Assignment

Image
I was kind of scared of this assignment.  But it wasn't too frightening for me, but it did really put me into the "Halloween Spirit".  the hardest part of this assignment was finding the right word to rhyme with my name, Anabel.  I wanted to have a little bit of an eerie vibe to my artwork like in the examples, but that was out of my comfort zone.  I usually create magical unicorn candy lands, not a little girl on fire.  I don't think I was successful with my goal, but it was worth a shot.

Celebrity Coloring Book

Image
I choose to draw a famous dancer, Misty Copeland.  She inspires me to try hard everyday.  As a child her family lived in poverty. When she was at the YMCA someone suggested ballet lessons.  Misty started training at a late age, but that didn't stop her.  Eventually, she became one of the first african-american prima ballerinas at the American Ballet Theater in New York.  So, at least to me, she is a celebrity.
