ArtRage Composition: Formal/Informal Balance

Image
This is my project.  I didn't like creating this project because I ran into many troubles.  I accidentally completed things on the wrong layer, (as you can see on the bottom right and left snowflake).  I wanted to exaggerate the centered yellow snowflake by making it a different color, putting it in the center of the picture, and using a different stencil.

Rhythm/Movement

Image
This is my ArtRage Rhythm/Movement piece.  I chose to use stencils that look like nature/garden.  I made a sun, flower, and a blue background to represent the sky.  The other two stencils I chose because I thought they looked pretty.  I had a hard time lining all of the components together.  I waned it to look  symmetrical  but I don't think I succeeded  i n this goal.  But overall, I really enjoyed this assignment.

Rothko-esque Painting in ArtRage

Image
This is my Rothko-esque painting in ArtRage.  I had trouble blending the colors and the background.  I would usually blend the colors too much that it just looks like pat of the background.  I don't really know why I chose to create my painting like this.

Celebrity with Animal Name

Image
This is my celebrity with an animal name.  I chose Gordon Ramsay because I didn't know any other celebrities that would work for this assignment.  I had the most trouble with blending the animal with the celebrity.  I had no experience with this before, so I didn't really have an idea of what I was going.  But overall, I enjoyed creating this art piece.

Scanned Felt Tip Drawing

Image
This is my outline of of Winnie the Pooh. This is my hand drawn, colored version of Winnie the Pooh.  It took me a while to sketch this picture without making his arms look weird.  On his right leg, I messed up his foot and his hip joint.  But I am OK with that.  I also took me a long time to sketch the image to my liking.  I know this is supposed to show my natural drawing ability, but I wanted to present the best looking drawing I could.  I am very pleased with what I have done.  And I really enjoyed this assignment.

9 Pannel Comic Strip

Image
This is my comic.  The story is that Dad (yes that's his name) tells his kids that they can paint the backyard fence any color they want.  Since they are siblings, they can't agree on what color to paint.  So they have a paint fight and make a huge mess.  Meanwhile, Mom and Dad decide to check up on the kids to see their design.  To the kid's surprise, the parents love the mess.  And the kids don't have to clean up the HUGE mess they just made (because it would ruin the "masterpiece").
