Colorize a Black/White Ansel Adams Image

Image
My colorized version.  I think the green background is too opaque, and doesn't go well with the leaves.  Since my strategy was to color the leaves then erase the extra, I had a hard time erasing outside the "lines".  I also had a hard time erasing the background color to make the picture look realistic.  But overall I really enjoyed this assignment! Colorize a Black/White Image

Image
This is the original image... This is my colorized version of the image... I had a hard time trying to make the colors vibrant but not cartoon like.      I also had trouble with trying to blend the colors of the plant,  I wanted to make the color noticeable but not be the center of attention.  I also had trouble with finding the right color to color the image.

Street Art Piece In Sketchbook Pro

Image
This is my street art piece.  I drew a flower and some yellow lines to show "brightness".  I was inspired by Banksy.  In one of Banksy's paintings, he used a street line to create a flower.  I thought that was very creative.  I wanted to draw something simple because that is what I imagine many graffiti artists do.  But I did have fun experimenting with the different brush tools in SketchBook Pro.

Surrealist Digital Portrait (Fruit/Vegetables)

Image
This is my surrealist digital fruit/vegetable portrait.  I did not like this assignment because everything I added, made the image look more and more creepy.  But it was kind of fun positioning the food.  I added a magenta/purple background and I used the burn tool to add a shadow to the image. This is the original image...
