Colorize a Black/White Ansel Adams Image

My colorized version.  I think the green background is too opaque, and doesn't go well with the leaves.  Since my strategy was to color the leaves then erase the extra, I had a hard time erasing outside the "lines".  I also had a hard time erasing the background color to make the picture look realistic.  But overall I really enjoyed this assignment!

this is the final product.  Once I placed the photo into the right position, I adjusted the hue/saturation.  I think I did a pretty good job of finding the right color. Although now it looks too green.  BUt I am very pleased with the final result. This is the original image...
