This is the original painting by Edvard Munch...

This is my interpretation.  I really wanted to have a "blending" or "blurry" effect in the background, but have solid colors in the front.  At first I tried to copy the same kind of stripy technique/style that is on the painting, but it wasn't the kind of look I was going for.

This is Leonardo DaVinci's original masterpiece, the Mona Lisa... This is my masterpiece.  I wanted to center my art on one color... PINK!  My original thought was to make her the queen of a pink, candy land.  But as I was looking for the perfect background, I found this very pink, incredibly beautiful, sakura flowers. this is the final product.  Once I placed the photo into the right position, I adjusted the hue/saturation.  I think I did a pretty good job of finding the right color. Although now it looks too green.  BUt I am very pleased with the final result. This is the original image...
